Harvest crops at every farm and sell it back to the farmer. Giving to the same beggar doesn't count, but different ones does. Give money to beggars, different ones every time. Whenever you come to a new hold, especially to the main city in that hold, make sure you do the following: Speaking of becoming Thane, you will need to do three favors in the smaller holds and five in the larger ones to gain enough fame to be finally.
